Generating higher quality transcriptomic data from challenging sample types

Broad Clinical Labs evaluated the Watchmaker RNA Library Prep Kit with Polaris Depletion to tackle low-quality and degraded RNA samples. They observed that it:

• delivers stable library yields across RIN 3.5–9.8, outperforming poly(A) methods on degraded RNA;
• provides higher gene coverage in low-quality samples, ensuring robust transcript detection;
• is resistant to contaminants, maintaining yields despite high salt (low 260/230); and
• delivers workflow flexibility, including sample throughput, PCR cycles, and other key library prep parameters.
